CGM: A context-free grammar manipulator
نویسندگان
چکیده
We present an interactive graphical environment for the manipulation of context-free languages. The graphical environment allows the editing of a context-free grammar, the conversion to Chomsky normal form, word parsing and the (interactive) construction of parse trees. It is possible to store positive and negative datasets of words to be tested by a given grammar. The main goal of this system is to provide a pedagogical tool for studying grammar construction and parse trees.

Studying impressive parameters on the performance of Persian probabilistic context free grammar parser
In linguistics, a tree bank is a parsed text corpus that annotates syntactic or semantic sentence structure. The exploitation of tree bank data has been important ever since the first large-scale tree bank, The Penn Treebank, was published. However, although originating in computational linguistics, the value of tree bank is becoming more widely appreciated in linguistics research as a whole. F...
متن کاملParikh’s Theorem for Weighted and Probabilistic Context-Free Grammars
We prove an analog of Parikh’s theorem for weighted context-free grammars over commutative, idempotent semirings, and exhibit a stochastic context-free grammar with behavior that cannot be realized by any stochastic right-linear context-free grammar. Finally, we show that every unary stochastic context-free grammar with polynomially-bounded ambiguity has an equivalent stochastic right-linear co...

متن کاملLFG Generation by Grammar Specialization
This article describes an approach to Lexical-Functional Grammar (LFG) generation that is based on the fact that the set of strings that an LFG grammar relates to a particular acyclic f-structure is a context-free language. We present an algorithm that produces for an arbitrary LFG grammar and an arbitrary acyclic input f-structure a context-free grammar describing exactly the set of strings th...
متن کاملOn Translating Lambek Grammars with One Division into Context-Free Grammars
In this paper we describe a method of translating a Lambek grammar with one division into an equivalent context-free grammar whose size is bounded by a polynom from the size of the original grammar. Earlier constructions by Buszkowski and Pentus lead to exponential growth of the grammar size. 1 Lambek Grammars and Context-Free Gram-
